Payment Security

Payment Security

A clearer, more confident checkout experience.

PlayHaven uses Shopify checkout and the payment services connected to our store to handle payment information. This page explains what to expect, what to check and how to respond if something does not look right.

How checkout works

Four simple parts of a careful payment process.

Payment security is shared across the checkout platform, the payment method you choose, your browser and the information you enter. A clear review at each step helps reduce avoidable errors.

01

Review your cart

Confirm the toys, quantities, prices and delivery details before proceeding to payment.

02

Use the checkout page

Enter payment information only through the Shopify checkout shown after you begin the order process.

03

Follow provider prompts

Your bank or payment provider may request an additional confirmation step depending on the payment method selected.

04

Check the order result

Wait for the checkout confirmation before retrying, especially if your bank app shows a pending authorization.

What PlayHaven will and will not ask you to do.

Payment details should remain within the checkout experience and any verification flow provided by your selected bank or payment service. Our support team may help review an order issue, but a support message is not a payment form.

  • We may ask for order-identifying information

This can include your order number, name, email address or a description of the checkout problem.

  • We may ask you to confirm non-sensitive billing details

A support review may involve checking the billing name, postal code or payment method type without requesting the full number.

  • Do not email full card information

Do not send complete card numbers, security codes, passwords or one-time verification codes through email or a contact form.

  • Do not pay through an unexpected link

If a message asks you to move payment away from the store checkout, stop and contact PlayHaven directly.

Before, during and after

Practical checks for each stage of your order.

Most payment questions are easier to resolve when you pause, keep the confirmation information and avoid repeating the same transaction too quickly.

Before checkout

Review the order carefully

Check the cart total, contact information and delivery address before entering payment details.

  • Confirm quantities and selected products.
  • Use a current billing address.
  • Make sure the checkout page has loaded completely.

During payment

Allow the checkout to finish

Complete any bank verification prompt and wait for a clear success or failure message before trying again.

  • Avoid refreshing while payment is processing.
  • Do not submit the same order repeatedly.
  • Keep your verification codes private.

Keep the confirmation details

Save the order confirmation and compare it with your bank activity if a payment appears unfamiliar or duplicated.

  • Look for the order confirmation page or email.
  • Check whether a bank entry is pending or completed.
  • Contact us before disputing a recognizable order.
Suspicious message awareness

Pause when a payment request feels unusual.

Unexpected urgency, unusual payment instructions or requests for private verification details are reasons to stop and verify the message through the PlayHaven contact page.

PlayHaven support will not need your complete card number, card security code, banking password or one-time authentication code to review an order.

Unexpected payment links

Do not follow a message that redirects payment to an unfamiliar website, personal account or unrelated service.

Requests for verification codes

Codes sent by your bank or payment provider are intended for you and should not be shared with a store representative.

Pressure to act immediately

A message that threatens cancellation or loss unless you pay immediately should be verified before any action is taken.

Use a known contact route

Open the PlayHaven contact page directly instead of replying to a suspicious message or using the link it contains.

Payment status guidance

Pending, declined and refunded do not always mean the same thing.

Banks and payment providers may display temporary authorizations, pending entries or delayed refund updates. The order status and the bank status can change on different timelines.

01
Pending authorization

A temporary pending entry may appear even when checkout was not completed. Your bank determines when that entry is released.

02
Declined payment

Confirm the billing information and contact the payment provider if the details appear correct but payment is still declined.

03
Possible duplicate entry

Check whether both entries are completed charges or whether one is still a temporary authorization before submitting another order.

04
Refund in progress

After a refund is processed, the time required for it to appear depends on the original payment method and financial institution.

Payment questions

Helpful checkout answers.

These answers explain common payment situations. Your bank or payment provider may need to assist with account-specific decisions.

Where should I enter my payment information?

Enter payment information only through the Shopify checkout that opens during the PlayHaven order process. Do not send complete card details through email, text or the contact page.

Why does my bank show a pending payment after checkout failed?

A bank may temporarily reserve funds while it checks a payment attempt. This does not always mean a completed PlayHaven order exists. Review your order confirmation and contact your bank about the release timing of a pending authorization.

What should I do if I see two payment entries?

First check whether one entry is marked pending and whether you received more than one order confirmation. Contact PlayHaven with the relevant order information before repeating the purchase.

How long does a refund take to appear?

Refund visibility varies by bank and payment method. A refund may be processed by the store before it appears in your account, so the original payment provider is the best source for account-specific timing.

Can PlayHaven support ask for my card security code?

No. Do not provide a card security code, banking password or one-time verification code in a support message. Contact us through the PlayHaven contact page if you receive such a request.

Does payment confirmation affect shipping time?

An order must be successfully confirmed before fulfillment can proceed. PlayHaven’s standard shipping time is 3–5 business days.
